day dreaming

Yesterday I went to the cinema to watch Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.
I felt in love with the costumes.
The only things I didn't like it were: the mad hatter dance
and the credits song.

A steam train at the station.
I joined the crowd and snapped some pictures,
it was full of senior people, lots of nostalgia,
the sound of that train was great and the steam looked like a cloud.
Then I thought at the Darjeeling steam train, would love to travel through India.

I'm heading out to Alice with my children right now! Glad to know you liked it. I love your photo of the train compartment. A glance back in time - but how nice it is in the present.

I wanna see that movie too but it's not in every movie-theater = not really close so I guess I'll have to make a whole trip to see it... I hope we'll go watch it together with my friends soon...

Lovely train, I hope you'll make your wish come true soon!

hey Alessandra, it's nice to see you back here, that week you were away just flew by! that sounds like a good way to spend a Sunday. i am aching from lots of digging and lopping as we spent the day digging a HUGE sandpit for Iris's kindergarten.

and i love steam trains. in the summer, it's really nice to take the steam train in Dartmouth or Totnes.

Happy Mother's Day!

I just saw Alice (the same day?) and I had the EXACT same reaction! I cringed when the Hatter danced and then again when Alice danced too. And yes, the costumes were to die for ... I want to make the light blue punjabi number Alice was wearing...did you see those cuffs! I can go on but I'll stop there :^)

Happy new week!
