When I was around 8 years old one of my friends lived in a house
behind her granma's haberdashery shop, it was like Wonderland to me.
In a room there were a big table and a machine to make buttons.
My friend's grand mother sometimes let us made some after a lot of nagging of course.
That perhaps is why I'm so fond of buttons.
When I saw these made by Nikole Herriot, I had to give it a try.
Mine are not perfect but they taste good.

Everything you posted today is so lovely (well it usually always is)! :) I am in love in Fanja's rabbit for so long now... would be happy with a print also! :) I hope Anita likes them.
Have fun, *
To Ana: Anita loves them, she also asked me for Lucius (the fox) so perhaps for her bday... when Fanja makes some...
They look great! I'm so glad you tried them. :)
These photos are beautiful- I love Fanja and Elisabeth's prints :)
wow, love these buttons, i think i'm gonna try them too!
hi Alessandra, these shortbread buttons are fun, this is what we'll make next too.
love how you arranged the prints together! x
The prints remind me of Alice in Wonderland. Maybe they are?
De magnifiques photos, un très beau post… Merci pour ce doux moment.
Hi Alessandra, nice to see you made these buttons. I like these as well very much. I haven't tried myself yet, maybe next week...
how funny, i was just looking at those buttons on Nikole's blog and thinking i'd make them for a friend's birthday later this month. i like them in this natural colour too!
To Nath: the natural colour is the best, I tried the coloured ones but when you put them in the oven the colour change and is not so pretty.
But I def reccomend them they are delicious!
Happy baking!
