I have a huge cold... sniff-sniff,
but I did finished a couple of things:
a new teacosy and a cushion.
I sorted out the box of buttons that belonged to my mum
and went on memory lane mode looking at some buttons, especially the metallic ones.
Anita helped me and now she has her own little box of precious, sparkling buttons
or as she says in italian "sbrilluccichi".
I told her a bit about my mum, little stories about the buttons and how as a child I
spent hours sorting them.
I guess my mum was a button freak too.
Then the sun came out and I realised how neglected the windows are...
The white flowers (which I like so much) are fresias but I can't smell anything!
(Please, have a look at the last link, some of the images are amazing
especially towards the end! there's a link at the bottom to see more).

I just browsed through your blog. It´s very inspiring and the pictures you are sharing are beautiful. Thank you!
love this post cause my mum has a button box and i remember playing with them, sorting them, creating patterns or picking something to go on a new cardigan. we have lots of stories to go with our buttons too. and some really old ones from a great, great, great aunt who had her clothes sent from Paris.
I hope you feel better soon!
The little horse looks a bit like wooden dog I bought on the weekend, I have just shown it on my blog.
Congratulation on your prize! You wished it you won it. That is how it is supposed to be.
Hope you feel better soon. I always feel so miserable when I have a cold! The fresias link gave me a good idea, and we'll do some microscopic observation of petals ... as soon as we get some spring around here! Ciao, buona pasquetta!
Très réussi ce tea cosy !
Quand aux fresias, j'aime beaucoup leur parfum également... :)
Soigne toi bien, à très bientôt !
Séverine.
To all: thank you ! :)
To Bohemian girl: I do wish to win the lottery...but what I wish the most is health for my daughter and my family! so I rather not to win the lottery! I explain myself: I believe that if I'm too lucky then something bad happens!
Old religious heritage I suppose!

Oh you have lovely buttons and I would love to sort through those! My mother keeps her buttons in jars, and I have some of those now. Some I recognize from a dress she made me from the second grade! Little metal hearts...
Hope you feel better soon. xo

I also never say out loud that am lucky or happy...
Last year, I brought home a big box filled with buttons from my mother's house. My kids were so excited to look at them all. Just like your daughter, they each found a little box in which they placed their favorite "treasures." Such a simple pleasure!
