antiques

Back again, amidst boxes and stuff everywhere.
Oh, packing is the worst bit of moving.
Is a time when I ask myself why I collect so many things,
sometimes I wish I could be a minimalist person instead of a hoarder!
So, to be coherent,  today I went for a walk and ended up in one of my favourites places in town:
the Antique Center, three floors packed with all sorts of things, it's like a museum.
I took some photos to share with you.

Ah and finally I can wear sandals.

How true your words are!
I am in the midst of getting packed up and ready to move and am often trying to strike some sort of balance between the things I seem to hang onto and the part of me that longs to have a minimalist household.( I'm a guilty knickknack lover.)
I hope your move goes smoothly and quickly!

Hello Alessandra!
Packing and unpacking (oh the agony of unpacking) are a pain. But at the end of it you have a nice(er) home:)

Oh, good luck with your move! Yes, that carpet is lovely...as are your sandals!

Thanks for stopping by earlier. Your kind comment helped realize I do need to recharge. Hope you felt a little recharged after your visit to that great shop in your photos!

Kindred collector - I know, I wish I could be a minimalist too...or just not have so much stuff!

And sweet sandals. I am still wearing socks and shoes here in the SF bay area. Brrrr.... kind of unusual for us.

Have fun this weekend, take a little break from packing :^)

to Barbara: Good luck with your move too :)
to blue china studio: lately it seems that lots of bloggers fell like that. Maybe is the downside of blogging: you feel like you can't keep up with all the creatives out there but is just an illusion, of course everybody has its down moment... even "celebrity" bloggers!

TO ALL: thank you...my sandals are from Birkenstock (from the time when I worked there!)
They last for ages...

no wonder you cant be a minimalist when you visit amazing places like this. I would hoard more too if this type of shop was close by!

Fun to see a photo of you! What a lovely shop to have close by. Unfortunately, in my quiet rural area, we have lost a lot of our antique shops. I think many are selling on line now.
