new home

We spent the weekend tiding up and unpacking.
As we won't stay in this house for more than six month
I took out of the boxes just few things
and realized how nice it 's to have a clutter free home.
I have like chairs: we have 17 chairs,
all vintage or second hand.
Our home looks like a waiting room as we have very little furniture

A fan I recently found in an antique market.

If you love chairs too,  here you go!
;^)

hello to you my dear! yes, a more minimal home sounds very nice, after getting back from our camping trip, i was struck (again) by just HOW much stuff we have in our home. and it's all my doing! i guess my weakness is books. but i like chairs! and so many other things. and therein lies the problem.

i'm in the middle of making some small bean bags for Iris so i had better dash, bye for now!

Je trouve que c'est agréable aussi une maison avec beaucoup d'espace, à chaque fois que nous avons déménagé j'ai toujours préféré les lieux vides !
Salle d'attente... ou salle de bal, pourquoi pas ?... :)
Bon lundi à toi aussi !

I don't think we have quite as many chairs, but we use them all. In particular, the chair on which piles of laundry to be sorted sit for ever (and ever):)

Why do you have to move again? What happened? Regarding the minimalist furnishing in an apartment I had one like that, it was actually big so my few pieces spread around and I thought it was just the way I liked it. And people who came for visit were saying how sad it looked.

to Nath: ohh would love to see Iris bean bag!
ah books is something we can manage now, before was crazy I had so many, then one day I gave them away, I only keep the one I really really like.

to Lorena: yes a day of Summer! fantastic!

to Francesca: tired of the laundry chair, I sorted out the unsightful thing with a nice huge basket...and then some blue ikea bags...
I don't like ironing!

to bohemian girl: ah it's a long story, basically we were convinced to move in a big nice house, then some problems occurred and then we decided: hey what are we doing here? Let's move to Cambridge! and so we will, hopfully if nothing goes wrong...i don't want to jinx it!
I love your sense of humor! You made me laugh... :^D

Ha, all our chairs are from street corners or flea markets! Love the miss match of it all and now I see there is someone with the same point of view :^)

Happy decluttering - yes, I am all for that. xo

I am also a compulsive chair buyer, as they are the only pieces of furniture that can easily fit in the backseat of my car.

I adore chairs, I have mismatched ones around my dining table and I am always looking for more, not intentionally I am just always drawn to chairs at secondhand stores, markets even on the side of the road.I don't think anyone can have too many chairs !!!

Hello ! I love chairs too ! ... 24 ... at home !
I'm able to take some in the street and renove them with paper and glue !!!!

to Christel: wauw...and I thought I was crazy ;^D

to Rachel: Once in London I passed by a vintage shop and there was a little chair too cute to be left there, so I bought it, but I didn't have the car. I put it on Anita's pram (she was only 3 months then, of course not on top of her!) and I walked home (half an hour) like that and people were looking at me and some even commented that it was a nice chair!

My mother is the chair addict. Good thing she has a fairly large family that comes home on holidays and for dinners!

A very beautiful waiting room you have there :)
some beautiful chairs, I can completely understand theneed to collect them. It must be quite freeing to have a minimal space for a short while, especially in your summer time.
