white VS cream

I have a pet hate (well more than one) which is: magnolia or cream walls. Hence, every time we move to a new house (which inevitably in this country has magnolia walls) I, after a couple of months staring at those walls, can't take it any more and so I head to a DIY shop, buy my favourite kind of white and start to paint ONE little room (this time is my studio) and then the white fever spread and I re-paint the whole house white...only that as soon as I finish we eventually move again and I have to re-paint the house with that magnolia colour! How silly is that?

Changing subject, my shop is still closed but if you like you can order my dolls or little clouds (the fabric ones not the wool ones) just contact me via email.
Thank You, Merci.
Now off to finish that blissful white room ;^)

I fully understand you; I ever do exactely the same. The time and money spent is worth it when concidering how much time we spend at home. Magnolia walls is not for me.
Love your didgital photos as well - and that Moomin cup, 'the love cup', I have the same :)

ha! here people do tend to paint white, but there is another really annoying habit: wallpaper. as in a) woodchip wallpaper or b) plastic-y structured wallpaper in graffiti patterns from the 1990s. it is a major pain getting those off the walls. which may be the reason why i haven't moved in seven years.

p.s.: also, ever since tv shows along the lines of 'changing rooms' have become popular, people paint 'feature walls' in lime green or bright orange. oh, and now you've started me on this subject, have you ever come across fake mediterranean, yellow sponge-painted walls? very popular here in the 80s and 90s. argh.

A me piacciono le pareti vecchie, quindi non riesco a tenerle in bianco candido per tutta la casa. Preferisco i colori leggermente "sporchi" e chiari che mi danno luce e comunque l'aria di casa vissuta :-)

Funny but so thrue...even I am the same. When I reach the limits of "I can't stand it any more", in my hand I already have a brush. In this moment I have 3 little f&b cans to try.
Good luck and have a lovely day!

Primoeza it's "all white" when it comes to paints I always prefer to spend a bit more but be reassured that the paint is not toxic. Also the colours have a great depth and light.

Wonderland, hello so good luck to you too and happy painting. I'm done with mine, now I have to face the task of reorganize all my stuff and junk I tend to accumulate no matter what!

Hello!

I found your blog thanks to Kerry's post today (from Seventy Tree) and I'm glad I did: it's so lovely around here.

I've been thinking of painting a few walls in colors but somehow we still keep them white, I think it's easier, but I love drops of colors here and there with cushions and vases.

I love your clouds by the way, I am a "cloud maker" too (cushions mainly) :)

You're welcome to visit me here:

Have a great weekend!
