memories (I came back with) part 2

My grand father was a blacksmith, I never met him.
He made that gate.
My father is very old now, that picture was taken
on the hills of Genoa called "fasce".
The beginning of the year always starts in blue.

Blue can be good, and a bit lighter than black.

My great grandfater was an iron monger too, but I'm not sure if he could make gates like that. It is beautiful. Is that him in the second picture? He looks like a gentleman.
Love your father's pose and trousers. He's sweet.
Yes. It all goes in circles.
Much love to you!

These are enchanting photos... the amazing craft of your grandfather, and the portrait of your papa. I also see a resemblance there as well... Happy 2012 dear Alessandra! xo

A beautiful gate. My grandfather was a baker. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all go back to jobs like that?

An ironmonger! It sounds rather romantic to me especially after seeing the gate he made. Beautiful.

I love looking at old photos.

And my grandfather was a grocer. I too like the idea of going back to a time when jobs seemed so much more forthright.

Trula and blue china studio, yes it is a romantic idea, but I have the impression that more and more people are actually going back to those kind of jobs :)
