dream shop

A bit more about it and some images of work in progress.

Who?
Rhiannon Gilmore (nee Silver) is a UK based artist concerned with the space between things - things that relate to each other in some way.
She explores this concern through making, curation and blogging. She is the creator and author of the image blog Intelligent Clashing and exhibits internationally.

What?
Dream Shop
In response to Rolu's request to contribute something to Attention as Place Rhiannon Gilmore wrote:
"What I really want is my own shop. Will you make me one?
If we really are wherever our attention is then I'm in my shop and it's stocked with things made by all the amazing people I've met online.
It would somehow feel right if my shop existed too far away for me to visit - just like it does now (being only in thought) it would be mine and never mine.
If you build it, I'll stock it."The shop acts not only as a sculptural realisation of Gilmore's desires but behaves as a snap-shot of a current community of artists/makers/designers who operate and communicate online.

Oh I do wish I could go, it looks good and I'm grateful for the internet and all the like minded and creative people I have the opportunity "to meet" through it.
I hope to meet in person more of you in occasion of the pop up I'm organising with the help of few friends in London, save the date 22-23 of September during the Design Week of London.

HI Alessandra, I've been swooning over your beautiful collection of goods for a while and so happy our work sat beside each other at the Dream Shop.

I'm excited to see you're opening a shop during LDF, I'd love to be part of anything you do in future, do let me know if you'd like me to contribute. I'll pop in and see the beautiful things in September, best of luck with it all.
